wcdb promos and highlights

Our original collection of WCDB "carts" is online here. We are working with the station now to obtain some of the more recent carts because they are equally as creative and charming as this batch from the 1990s era.

1976 Banquet Tape

At the end of each school year, WSUA would have a banquet during which they would play a tape made especially for the occasion. These tapes would parody the station programs and poke fun at the membership, usually in a no-holds-barred fashion. This is the 1976 tape, donated by Anita Bonita. It's just over 37 minutes long but offers rare insight into the behind-the-scenes aspects of mid-1970s WSUA, and well worth a listen. The tape is rife with swear words and would never be played on the air.
