About me: I'm a male to female transgender metal DJ, playing a variety of metal and related genre music. If it's hard enough to fuck, it's hard enough to play. My show is called "Transgression", one of my many puns. I'm trans, it's aggressive, and my taste in stuff (and myself in general) is extremely transgressive. I'm 18, somewhat unhinged, and in my opinion, completely awesome. Or not. It depends on how I feel at the moment. I'm a psych major, and majorly psyched. Oh, and I love awful puns. I'm on Tumblr at zoeyposthuman.tumblr.com and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ZoeyPosthuman Follow and like me!
My interests: Music (no shit!), video games, porn, cats, food, psychology, the oppression of trans women by both the patriarchy and mainstream feminism, dogs, the Internet in general, the future and what's going to happen, philosophy, humanism, transhumanism and the institutionalized discrimination built into the system. Yes, I'm a varied and easily distractd person.
First Song played: During my on-air test: For What It's Worth by The Pop Culture Suicides During Transgression: Bringing Back the Balls to Rock by Lordi
Favorite artist(s): Marilyn Manson and Daisy Berkowitz are the top two. They're both my idols. Ivan Moody, just for how little he gives a shit. Mr. Lordi for being over-the-top and awesome. Sabaton for being METAL FUCKING BARDS! Jon Davis for doing his best to help people like me and those in worse situations. Otep too. She's one of my heroes. David Bowie is a classic and an inspiration to all. Rammstein is one of the best bands ever, and is truly a band, unlike many bands out there that go through people like toilet paper. Slipknot rocks, too. Honestly, there's just too many to list.
Favorite song(s): Running To The Edge of The World by Marilyn Manson. It was me and my now ex-girlfriend's song. Negative Three is also the best Marilyn Manson and The Spooky Kids song, and Daisy kicks ass on guitar. I love too many songs to list them all though. Like, if I love a band, I usually love all of their songs. And I love a lot of bands.
Favorite TV show(s): Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - IT'S AWESOME! Supernatural Doctor Who Sherlock Buffy the Vampire Slayer Firefly - BROWNCOATS FOREVER! Angel Dollhouse Psych
Favorite movie(s): Serenity, hands down. Anything by Joss Whedon or any Marvel film also counts. Other than that, there's a billion movies I love. The time most people set aside for social interaction, I've used for media. So, I've seen way too many movies and shows to list. Did you know there's multiple ET porn parodies? Let that sink in and traumatize you.
Favorite book(s): All the Halo novels, because they're some of the best Sci-Fi I've read. They focus on the very human participants of the war, and how those people are affected. Stone Butch Blues, a semi-autobiographical novel about a trans person, is one of the best books I have ever read, hands down.
Magazines I like: Magazine? What's a magazine?
Favorite hangouts: WCDB offices. It's so nice here. Otherwise, at home, on my laptop. Like a loser.
When not DJ-ing: I'm a poor college student. So, poor college student things like wondering if I should be a porn star for gas money.
My heroes: Daisy Berkowitz - Keep on fighting, man. Marilyn Manson - Survived so much abuse and suffering and fought the system. Otep - Same as Manson, with a feminist bent. Nash Bozard - Comedian, radio host, and brilliant man whose video on depression saved my life.
Who I'd like to meet: Musicians: Marilyn Manson (again), Paul Stanley, Daisy Berkowitz, Mr. Lordi, all of Sabaton, David Bowie, Ivan Moody, Otep and so many more. Internet Personalities: Diamanda Hagan, Doug Walker, Brad Jones, Nash Bozard + Tara Deenihan, Mathew Buck, Linkara and pretty much every member of Channel Awesome. Also, Tumblr user Canadad. Actors/Actresses: Summer Glau, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Eliza Dushku, Robert Downey Jr., Clark Gregg <3, Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Smith, David Tennant, Peter Capaldi, wait I could just say all people that have played The Doctor (or companions), Tom Hiddleston, and so many more. Everyone not Adam Baldwin to ever work with Joss Whedon, for one. Others: Joss Whedon, Laney Chantal <3 <3 <3, Ariel Rebel, Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, Deep Throat, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Zinnia Jones, and more I can't remember.
