The Capital District's Best celebrates 45 years as part of the Albany music scene with a party heralding the music, places, and people who helped make it one of the nation’s finest college radio stations!
Expect a retrotatious trip back to the golden era of cutting-edge college radio from the early 80’s to the 90’s and beyond as we celebrate with a dance party summoning the nights of the Fuze Box’s legendary predecessor QE2, and famed Rock Night at the Rafters. With special guests QE2 founder CHAR SHORTSLEEVE & REAL GEORGE (CLUB 288/QE2 DJ, Buzz Magazine, Real George’s Backroom).

A roundtable of CDB alumni DJs and Albany local music vets discussing the Albany music scene from the golden age of college radio to now. Panelists include Howard Glassman, Charlene Shortsleeve, Real George (of Buzz Magazine), Mike Eck, Adam Fass, Matt MacHaffie, Kevin Byrne and Nate Horwitz. 4PM to 5:30PM. Assembly Hall, Campus Center. Free admission.
